On October 20, 2021, the project "A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Clinical Study on the Use of Human Umbilical Cord-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Injection for Treating Diabetic Foot Ulcers," submitted by President Jin Peisheng and his team from the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, successfully passed the filing and approval process with the National Health Commission. This marks the first stem cell therapy research project approved nationwide for treating diabetic foot ulcers! Currently, all preparatory work is complete, and the team plans to recruit 60 diabetic foot patients to receive free treatment using umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
